Each are being considered with the coaching position at the Scottish champions following the former manager's resignation on the start of the week.

The Manager's Stance on The Scottish Club

McKenna referred to the Glasgow giants as "a really big football club" but emphasized he is "in the middle" of a "extensive rebuilding" with the Championship side.

The 39-year-old assumed control of Ipswich in recent years and led them to the Premier League with consecutive elevations, but they managed only four games last campaign as they were demoted back to the Championship and they presently occupy twelfth place in the Championship.

"There have been such discussions," the English capital native former Irish youth international said when questioned about being on the candidate list.

"It's not something I have considered seriously, or where any part of my focus is this week.

"I possess a special job here at a remarkable team. And we're at a really important stage of the campaign. Anything outside of that hasn't reached my radar."

Background and Agreement Aspects

Reports indicate that the manager would be willing to talk to the Scottish side given his childhood support.

"During youth, we all have our preferences," he said when asked about these. "It's unlikely all people has to go around and announce what they used to be, but naturally it's a massive sports organization."

The coach signed a new four-year contract in last year and was asked about his alleged £5m release clause.

"Throughout coaching agreements, there are provisions," he responded. "I'm unaware what mine are and, were I informed, I wouldn't disclose you regardless!

"I tackle this role like I'll be Ipswich manager forever. I understand that's not always going to be the case, but I will consistently give maximum effort as long as I am here."

Bellamy's Position

The former striker represented the Hoops on temporary transfer from the Magpies in 2005, but the ex- Wales forward is inclined to complete the ongoing World Cup campaign, a stance that would effectively rule out the mid-forties from assuming the Celtic job.

The Welsh squad are presently in third place in their qualifying group behind group toppers Belgium and runners-up North Macedonia.

Victories over the minnows and North Macedonia in next month would book their place in the qualification play-offs, but they are all but assured of making those, thanks to a successful Nations League campaign, even if they not end up their group runners-up.

Given his current stance, Bellamy, whose agreement concludes after Euro 2028, would not be available until following the qualifying matches at the minimum.
