Reigning Sabalenka Claims Consecutive WTA Player of the Year Accolades.
The top-ranked player Aryna Sabalenka has been voted the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second successive year.
The 27-year-old captured four titles – the highest tally on the circuit – including retaining the US Open in September versus Amanda Anisimova to claim her fourth Grand Slam singles championship.
A Season of Dominance
Throughout the year, Sabalenka reached a circuit-leading nine finals, with defeats coming against Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in the French Open final.
The star player also triumphed at the Brisbane International early in the season, the Miami Open in March, and the Madrid Open as the clay season progressed. She remained the whole season as the top-ranked player, concluding 2025 on top of the rankings for a second straight year.
This past summer, she achieved the status of being the first player to exceed 12,000 WTA ranking points after Serena Williams in 2015.
Record-Breaking Statistics
Sabalenka finished the competitive year with a sixty-three to twelve match record, and collected a record eleven million pounds in prize money.
She received almost 80% of the votes submitted by global tennis journalists.
Later this month, she is poised to compete against 2022 Wimbledon runner-up Nick Kyrgios in a Battle of the Sexes-style exhibition match with the aim of "elevate women's tennis to a greater prominence".

- Comeback Player of the Year: Switzerland's Belinda Bencic, 28, received the award after taking a extended hiatus following the arrival of her daughter and returning to the sport at the start of this year.
- Fresh Face of the Year: Canadian 19-year-old Victoria Mboko picked up the award after beginning the season positioned outside the world's top 300 and climbing to the eighteenth spot.
- Partnership of the Year: Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend earned the title after winning their second Grand Slam title as a pair.
- Most Improved Player of the Year: Amanda Anisimova received the accolade after reaching five championship matches.
