Air travel have resumed at Edinburgh Airport after a substantial ATC system failure halted all operations.

Every arrival and departure were stopped because of an systems problem that occurred at about 08:30.

Several flyers reported being stuck in jets at the stand while the issue persisted.

Operations Restart with Ongoing Delays

The airport confirmed at 10:40 that flights had resumed, and thanked passengers for their "patience and understanding".

Nonetheless, significant disruption are expected to affect schedules. Services bound for key destinations like Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, and Bristol have been cancelled, with a host of additional flights subject to postponements.

An airport representative had earlier anticipated that dozens of flights could be impacted.

"Travelers are urged to contact their airlines for the latest information on their booked journeys," officials reiterated.
